Located next to the theatre, Polanco worked out perfectly for us before a show...We sat at the downstairs bar and experienced excellent service by the young lady tending bar... The chips and salsa combo that she recommended was the perfect appetizer (the peanut sauce and green sauce were our favorites) also the ribeye and shrimp tacos were filling and pocket friendly priced.
Absolutely delicious authentic Mexican food for vegans and non-vegans alike! Finally a place where vegans can get real Mexican food with sauces and plant-based meat instead of just settling for vegan options at a traditional restaurant. The fried cauliflower with chipotle aioli is absolutely amazing! I also loved the mole, Chile en Nogada, zucchini boats, and hash brown fritters. Everything was wonderful and the chef, Ricardo, and our server, Amy, were delightful!
This is the best authentic Mexican food ever! Just the right amount of spice. I will definitely be going back when I'm in Asheville.
This place was great. We got to meet the Chef, Ricardo and the Manager, Christian. The Chef created a special vegetarian dish that was INCREDIBLE. The Vegan and Vegetarian options are very impressive. This place is on its way to being an Asheville staple, we will definitely be back.
In a historical building downtown Asheville. 2 floors offering seating for ALL ages. If you're looking for a clean seasoned establishment to go on a date then this is the place. Soft music in the bar area which IMO is a great place for a date in which you can talk without competition. The bartender Ali is always very accommodating which includes her homemade mixes and making your drinks beyond ones expectations. The food is delicious and fresh! Everything on the menu is made authentic.
