Highly recommend! My wife and I have now come here twice and both times we were wonderfully surprised at the quality of the food, promptness of the service, and price! I ordered the salmon which was cooked to perfection and my wife ordered chicken tenders and shrimp. Even the Caesar salad and warm croissant we're amazing! Lastly, there was no sticker shock at the end, which is wonderful when you're budgeting!
The ribs are a great deal at $15.99 for a full rack which is served as 2 - half racks. Tonight was my 2nd visit in the past few days and the results were very different. The first night both racks were tender, fall off the bone , give it a 5 delicious! Tonight.... well.... they got it half right, the first rack was great!... the 2nd was tough, chewy and the meat had to be cut off the bone with a steak knife.
I'll go back for a tie breaker.
Service was above average... below excellent.
Long wait for server to arrive at our table to take order and to be served. Requested med rare hamburger. When hamburger arrived it was well done. Server then told us the Cook said we cannot do med rare. Then server stated the Manager said they could. He offered to make new hamburgers but we refused. By this time we were totally disenchanted. When server was informed the order could not be done as we requested he should have informed us and we could have ordered something different. Nothing worse than an over cooked hamburger. Manager never came to table to apologize. Very disappointed in Asheville Cheddars. Would never go there again. Management needs to get their act together. Seems like the blind was leading the blind and the tail was waging the Dog at this location. The only reason I gave one star was because it would not let me post review without one star. Have had better service at McDonald's!!!
Watress was wonderful, explained why we had to wait to be seated. Also explained about only half the grill working. She was very attentive and always had a smile. She did this at all the tables she served. Food was very good and hot.
What a FANTASTIC first experience! With so many choices for dinner in Asheville we were pleasantly surprised by such great service and food at Cheddars. Marley was an AMAZING, Gracious, and Knowledgeable server. John added to our experience with his attention to detail and positive attitude towards his staff and restaurant. The food was PERFECT and prepared exactly as ordered. Compliments to the Chefs! WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK! THANK YOU Marley and John. We are so glad we came!
