Be advised if you call after hours, you may get a random person not even associated with this practice who returns your call. Jennifer, who I assume is a health professional, returned my call tonight. I called in for assistance with a painful and excruiating uti. Jennifer asked me who is my doctor but in a practice unknown to me. What? Who? She had also been given my wrong birthdate so it's no wonder she could not find my records. After discussing my symptoms she said she would "try" to reach the physician on call for Our Family Doctor but no guarantees. No guarantees? After about 30-45 minutes Jennifer called back and said sorry, the doctor on call hadn't called back. She advised I find an urgent clinic still open somewhere since my painful urination was as bad as I described. I'm 64 years old. I've never ever had a doctor just ignore their patient's call for medical assistance. I really prefer not to call after hours but this is all good information. Why even bother to call if a stranger says they will "try" to reach your medical professional of record for you...but no guarantees but good luck!
Dr Polansky is awesome. She genuinely cares for my health. She remembers me and I enjoy her caring attitude. I highly recommend her to my friends.
Dr. Preston is amazing. She remembers details from my life from one visit to the next, and always seems to genuinely enjoy seeing her patients. I tend to worry a lot about minute things and she always puts me at ease. I've seen others in this office, too, and they were equally as kind and professional, but for me Dr. Preston is the best. I highly recommend her.
Office staff is not that great on following up. I've had return phone calls 2-3 weeks later (to tell me that the person I need to talk to will be out of the office for a week!). No return calls in some cases, unless it's for surprise billing fees $15 to verify medication prescription $5 for Rx refill! I love the doctors, and a couple of the staff(hence 2 stars)....but office staff...such a disconnect! I was clinical manager at a practice and we worked within our scope of practice to ensure the physicians did'nt have to worry & returned calls in a couple of days. I'm looking for a new PMD for my family now(all 5 of us). So disappointed.
Dr. Viegas has always treated me with respect and as if we were truly partner's in my health care but my last few interactions with this practice have been difficult. An on-going frustration is the disconnect with the front office staff. During my last visit, at check-out, several schedulers gathered together to disparage one of the doctor's. I left my last doctor's office because of a poorly managed office and for a while, inefficiencies can be overlooked but I, too, have experienced lack of follow up and poor communication. My recent experience with their after hours on-call process prompts me to write and pushes me closer to looking for another practice.
OFD has evening clinic hours, Saturday hours, and I've never worked with doctors more consistently concerned with the whole person. I would confidently recommend ANY of the doctors here. Excellent care. I've been a client for several years. Never had a bad experience.
