Dr. McCann and his staff are amazing. My son has been seen there since he was 2 years old. The entire office goes above and beyond for every appointment- both for my son and towards his brother and sister when they are there as well. Super thorough, caring and extremely knowledgable.
My Nurse and Doctor were both very patient, knowledgeable and thorough! I had extensive testing for allergies done and they came up with a game plan to get me on the road to recovery. I will be returning for immunotherapy and feel very comfortable with seeing them twice a week for 4 months!
Dr. McCann's staff are very professional while being nice at the same time. That's hard to come by anymore. Dr. McCann himself is a very patient man who will listen even though he is real busy. I love every one there! Even the lady at the front desk is great and helpful if needed. I couldn't ask for a better practice!
The doctor and nurse I saw were very nice, however, two major things will keep me from returning to this office. First, I was in the exam room for over three hours. The actual exam, talking to the nurse/doc, and having allergy tests performed took about 20% of that time. The other 80% was spent waiting for either the nurse or doctor to come back into the room. Yes, the allergy tests each required 15 minutes of waiting, but what should have been maybe an hour/hour and half tops appointment, turned into over three hours. Completely unacceptable and totally disrespectful of my time. Second, when I go to the checkout desk, the woman behind the counter informed me that while I was in the exam room, they had contacted my insurance and found out that I have a $3000 deductible and that I would have to pay out of pocket for my allergy tests, nearly $600. Now, I know that's not completely their fault... it was definitely my responsibility to look up my insurance info. However, since I was in the exam room waiting for three hours and they called my insurance during this time, I don't understand why it never occurred to them to come in and let me know I'd have to pay out of pocket for the allergy tests. I would have never agreed to have them done. Instead I was completely surprised with a $568 medical bill at the end of my 3 hour appointment. Again, I know it's partially my fault for not researching before this but it just added to my overall frustration with the appointment. Not going back and do not recommend.
I too, had a negative experience where they never explained that there were out of pocket costs in addition to the copay I paid them. I was surprised with a $475 bill, all over a simple allergy test.
