Went in here with my brother-in-law and was highly disappointed. First, these people are so pushy its ridiculous. They are worse than car salesman. I repeatedly told them i was just looking. While looking at guns i was told multiple times not to think about it and to just buy it. Then i was looking at the tools and the salesman informed me that a Dewaly drill was brand new and never used and still in the box. He said the box was only opened to make sure everything was there... My question is who buys a brand new Dewalt drill and decides they'd rather pawn it for a quarter of the price instead of just taking it back? My guess is this is either not new at all or it was stolen. I won't be coming back here!
I've been to Alan's a couple of times but I just found out about the vintage/estate section in the Patton Ave store and love it. I got this adorable teal, floral bracelet for a decent price (and a little off the top!) And it was awesome that the staff was pretty knowledgable about the history of each of those pieces!
I would love for someone from Alan's to reach out to me so we can start to begin to rebuild your customer service image and help the staff understand the importance of, how do you say, keeping your opinions to yourself. For a bunch of know it all mouth spouts , they sure don't know how to sell me anything, buy anything, or help themselves from letting it be known that they believe they are somehow superior to the customers that put food in their pockets and keep them from having to, God forbid, have to one day visit Alan's and deal with the jerks that have replaced them in the meantime. Alan, it's 2017, out with the old in with the new.
