This manager will not contact us
They took us to a private room after putting my dog on a stretcher and gave me a good twenty minutes alone with him to tell him bye after they had given him a tranquilizer. Staff was kind, offered tissues as I cried and pet him and told him bye. Allowed me to stay until his heart stopped (which thankfully didnt take long, Dr Kuhn only gave about half the injection before he was gone, which told me he was already ready to go). Tomorrow I will be picking up a casting of his paw for memory, overall the staff is nice, good with animals that get snappy and nervous.
Amazing vets. They are kind and professional, I had to put my long time dog to sleep this morning, he was 13 years old and he had deteriorated over night. My family felt like we should've been able to do more but they assured us he was just old and sick, and in pain.
If you dont have money, they're very good about payment plans. Dr Kuhn told us we could take him to the humane society to have him treated for cheaper but he said in his professional opinion it was time to let him go. He assured me that it wasnt going to hurt him, and that it was the right thing.
Very good doctors. Personable, fair, and well versed in their craft.
All and all an amazing place, and we will continue to bring out animals up there. Thank you to the staff for being so kind and understanding, and RIP Harvey. We'll miss you, bub.
Helped with a stray dog that needed his leg amputated. The most caring staff and amazing Vets.
Bad service
I live in Hendersonville and make the drive all the way to East Asheville to see the vets here at Animal Hospital East. I have a whole herd of dogs and cats and the staff is so welcoming to all of us. Dr. Kuhn and Dr. Von have both been extremely helpful and invested in the best care for my pets. I have read several reviews that were not fond of their experience and it mainly came down to money. Veterinary care is expensive, pets are expensive. They are a huge responsibility. I would rather them search for all the reasons behind an issue than just guess what could be the matter. And I know that I have told them my budget and to not go over a certain amount and they honored that. In my opinion, coming from someone who has had several veterinarians over the years, the staff here is among the most knowledgeable I have encountered. They truly invest themselves in your pets and do everything they can to make sure they have a long and happy life with you.
