Purchased some items that were NOT online exclusives but got a 30% discount online, they were one size to big. Back of invoice said I could EXCHANGE or RETURN in appropriate store. I decided to go pick out the exact items at the store but in a size smaller. When I took them to the register the girl told me since I purchased online I had to have it refunded but then re-buy them. I asked if I was going to have the same pricing at which I originally purchased and she said it would be the same as the invoice. After completing the return she rung up the exchanging items and tried to charge me $20-$30 more than I originally paid. I said that made no sense and the invoice clearly said I could exchange in store. I asked to speak to the manager and she claimed to be. I said forget that, why can't I exchange them for the price I originally paid they are the same EXACT items? Then I had my 7yr old daughter along who wanted a swimsuit and some sparkly flip flops on sale for $5 that's what the sign said. She tried to argue that they were $7.94, she then went back and checked and came back and changed the price to $5. I again said that makes no sense that I had to go through that whole process with invoice in hand and the exchange policy clearly written out on back. She said "Have a Good Day." in an extremely snide cocky attitude. I purchase from old navy not only for myself but my 4 kids as well. After that experience I don't want to spend another dime there. I can no longer purchase those items for the same price since they are no longer on sale and I called customer service. They informed me that employee was totally wrong and I for one did not need to return them and rebuy and that the only time I could not exchange is if they were online only or online exclusives. NONE of them were. They gave me a 20% discount code which said could be combined with only promos but if you read the fine print says it CANNOT be combined. I am so disgusted with this experience and irritated that I no longer can get the same items for the price I originally paid. Not only that if she was the MANAGER she could have overrided that, I don't know who trained her but clearly but what I was told from online support she has not idea what she is talking about. I may just have to called the store general manager or district management. Total B.S.
Awesome customer service and friendly staff. Great selection of clothing. Nice to have a large Old Navy inside the mall.
I returned jeans from Christmas, and instead of getting back what was paid for them, CASH, I got a b.s. piece of paper merchandise certificate. The girl in store told me that I would be able to use it online. Now I'm stuck with a $60 piece of paper and no jeans because the store doesn't carry my size and I can't use this thing online. If I had wanted to settle for an ugly sweater I would have bought it first instead of jeans. This place has the worst customers service I have ever dealt with. I will be looking for somewhere else to buy jeans, and I will even pay more for the to keep from giving these people my money. I will not be buying ANYTHING from Old Navy again.
