The whole place smells like an ah tray, including the non smoking rooms. The smoke alarm beeped periodically at about 4 am for an hour because of low battery. Complimentary breakfast is drip coffee juice and donuts at the entrance.
All in all - don't expect much but as a place to crash for a night it was nice.
The room was clean, relatively large, decent check-in and check out times (2pm on Saturday and 11am on Sunday). For the price we paid the only thing I'd expect differently are at least different floors for smoking and non smoking and checking the smoke alarm batteries. The staff was very courteous and nice, we were encouraged to call any time of the day or night to take care of anything. Took 10 minutes to check in including waiting in line and would have taken less than a minute to check out have we not wanted to complain about what I mentioned above.

Great location, right off I 26. Across the street from Asheville Outlet Mall. Farmers Market is less than a mile down the road, Moose Cafe is the restaurant located there with great farm to table food.
Very nice stay for the price, right by the outlet mall and only 10 minutes out from downtown Asheville. Had no issues and loved the price.
The good:
Very bad experience. Was told by CHOICE this was a 3 star hotel---NOT . Booked for business and was very disappointed. Hotel is close to other nice upscale properties, but this one is in a dark corner with limited parking in front and additional parking accessed through a DARK alley. Appears people were living in their trucks. Basement (floor 1) definitely has issues. Smoke odor. Did not feel comfortable with coming in late in the evening. Several guests had issues during our stay. Not happy with CHOICE at this time.
Room price was great and the front desk staff was very helpful. I will be back.
