Stacey & Lisa made our breakfast experience great. Stacy did a great job picking up the slack during an extraordinary busy morning. Arielle made sure we had an "opening day fresh" clean room. We will stay here again when in the area. The front desk staff were awesome in accommodating Hurricane Irma evacuees from Florida. Great job!
Super clean rooms, the bed was SO comfortable (soft). They take the time to mark the pillows with embroidery on the open ends with firm and soft so you will know what you want to use. Had hot breakfast included with our room. Was please to find grits.
I live fairly local, but every winter my employer puts me in the hotel during adverse weather so I can be readily on call. During this visit check-in was polite and seamless even though they appeared to be training a new employee. Due to my last minute reservation they were limited to smoking rooms, but the room itself didn't have any residual smoke smell and was clean and well organized. The room itself included a work desk, mini-fridge, and personal Keurig machine stocked with regular and decaf K-cups. The only complaint I have was that the shower temperature wasn't as hot as I would like, but that could also be a result of being on the top floor. The room comes with complementary breakfast passes to their buffet, which offers a variety of options. The dining room staff was very polite and kept the table cleared and my coffee cup full. There is a heated pool in the lobby and a hot tub which seemed pretty popular, though I didn't personally use either. All of the staff I interacted with from check in to check out were polite and efficient. I was even greeted warmly when passing housekeeping staff in the hallway.
I have stayed here three times over three weeks and highly recommend it. The rooms are clean and up to date, and the beds are extremely comfortable (four pillows to a bed). There is a pool and hot tub open year round in the lobby, plus an outdoor pool open during the warmer months. There is a restaurant in the lobby, but I didn't eat there. It's right off the highway and close to casual restaurants; it's also not that far from anything you might want to go to within Asheville.
One of the nicest Holiday Inns I have been in. Check inn was quick and courteous. Room was clean, bed was surprisingly comfortable. Lobby was nicely decorated and comfortable to be be in. The restaurant was a little above average in price but food was good. Nice selection at the bar. Breakfast was a little disappointing, was late opening and disorganized. Cook didn't show up on day 2. You have a choice between buffet or ordering from the kitchen. Buffet is not free at this hotel. I would stay there again.
