I was just in this store to purchase some new bow hunting supplies and bullets. To start my wife and I were asked by 2 separate employees a total of 5 times if we needed help with anything... This isn't uncommon when shopping, but not that often and not by the same employees, but we politely explained we were just looking. We were in the store for maybe 30 minutes and these same employees followed us around the store " discretely" as if we were going to steal something. Field and stream has officially lost two good customers over stereotyping . me and my wife have spent at least $300 or more every other month since they have opened. We do not appreciate the way we were treated and should not have been treated in such a mannor.
My wife and I recently went to Field & Stream of Asheville, NC and were less than impressed. The staff was about as useful as a book of wet matches. They were rude and would not answer questions. I apologize that we are not all knowing, elitist, NC fly fishermen. I would not recommend that anyone who does not know everything about everything go to this store for guidance. I have hunted and fished unguided from the Canadian border to the Gulf of Mexico and from the west coast to the east coast, but never stopped to try stream trout fishing. So my apologies Field & Stream of Asheville, NC for asking for a little guidance from your “expert” staff prior to heading to the streams. Bass Pro and Cabelas will continue to get my money.
Needed some fishing gear the staff was very friendly and polite I found everything that I needed the customer service was excellent I will definitely go back for more fishing gear as well as hiking gear.
Ryan in the boot dept went out of his way to find me a boot that I wanted and I got what I wanted. Josh in the fishing dept helped me with A lot of questions and was more than happy to help me and not rush me off. Everybody was awesome
Weird! The manager behind the cash wrap on 12/27 couldn't have been ruder! Didn't understand the petulant reaction when we tried to price match an item shipped and sold by Amazon that was Prime eligible. We were told to "Go find someone else!!" before she took a lap and begrudgingly came back to price match. Great Amazon showroom though!
