If you do not like hipsters, stay away from this place. It's a hipster magnet. If you're able to stomach the neck beards and slouchy hats, the food is worth the wait. Some of it is as pretentious as you would expect, with many dishes offering hempeh, whatever that is.
I got the BLAT which is a BLT with avocado on a croissant with fresh cut fries. Delicious! And I discovered it was even better with a little of their hot sauce sprinkled on each bite.
My wife & I try to eat there at least a couple times each month. The food is great, they are especially good at combining complimentary flavors together in the meals that I've eaten. The service has always felt sincerely courteous & knowledgeable. And the prices are great. This is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Asheville!
We will be back and I'll get the whole bowl of shrimp and grits to eat by myself! Fantastic restaurant with great service.
Well we finally got in.... People have been raving about their brunches however, we didn't want to wait in the long lines so we decided to try dinner instead, which was excellent. We arrived at 8 got front door parking and two open seats at the bar. The bartender was very very pleasant and a delight to talk with. The appetizers were unique and delicious. My husband had the pork chop recommended by the bartender which was tender and beyond tasty. I had the shrimp and grits which was also delicious. However, the best and most delicious treat was the homemade cranberry white chocolate cheese cake which was light and fluffy. I would like to consider myself a cheese cake connoisseur and this was by far the best I've ever had.
My husband ordered the shrimp and grits. OMG!! I was jealous. They had the best flavor. Hands down the best shrimp and grits I've ever tasted!
Parking is awful. The tables are packed tightly together, but again, the food is amazing enough to make dealing with hipsters tolerable.
Order anything with bacon and you will be happy. Best bacon ever!! I got the bloody Mary to start (with bacon) the mix was great and the toppings we're even better. Delicious pickled okra, onion, carrot and garlic. I could have made a meal out of the veggies!
This is the place to go for breakfast in Asheville. They have a wide selection of omelets and will customize them to your liking. They have plenty of gluten free selections and very good biscuits. I had a three-egg omelet with goat cheese and pepper and onions along with hash browns and sausage patties. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the ingredients tasted very fresh and high quality. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the waitstaff very friendly.
