Without going into the details, these guys were unbelievable in helping me and assisting my friend in help me, in the later evening of July 2, 2016.
I've had to use Woodfin PD several times over the years and they've always been helpful.
I drive by the woodfin police dept every day of the week, and oftentimes late in the afternoon home from work. On 2/16/16 approximately 6:30 pm; I drove up Elk Mountain Road, and turned into the police department to clean my windshield I felt this was the safest place to pull out of any traffic. I parked my car out of the way of any traffic in the parking lot; and got out of my car to clean windshield. I then got back in my car and cleaned it on the inside. It was at that point, that a police car pulled into the area where I would have to back out and continue on my travels. Whoever was driving the car, put the headlights on bright, causing me not to see much of anything. I backed out onto the side road near town hall; and proceeded on my route. The driver of the car came out right behind me, lights still on bright; and just circled back into the parking lot of the police dept on the lower side I felt intimidated; and not one ounce of protection; but violation; and totally disgraced. The officer could have at least stopped, got out of his car and offered assistance to a distressed motorist. When I am able to stop there and speak with someone about this personally, I absolutely will. This evening was dark and raining; visibility not good at all.
The best police force in WNC. Most importantly, awesome and responsive police officers. Amazing cars. Don't mess with Woodfin/North Asheville. These guys and gals (heros) have this mountain on lock-down. Thank you from OvenPOP 360 across from the YMCA.
