Specialized has gone above and beyond to make sure my body is feeling good. As a soccer player, it is inevitable that you're going to pick up knocks that can affect your performance, and I can say with confidence that every time I leave their office I feel instant improvement that allows me to continue strenuous activity. Sean and his staff do a great job, and are good people as well. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
I have been an athlete my whole life. I play college soccer and have had multiple knee surgeries. I have been through a lot of PT and can easily say Sean Simonds has developed an amazing physical therapy environment. With top notch staff they have the most caring, enthusiastic, and fun staff while also being extremely knowledgeable. I have been going there from the first year it was established and will be going there every time I am in town from school and in the future. Being a veteran with multiple issues that took a long time to get care for, I have found Liz and the whole team at Specialized Physical Therapy are professional, personable, and fully capable of providing integrated care that allows maximum rehabilitation for several issues at the same time. They have really helped me with recovery from surgeries on both shoulders, a neck fusion and more.
I am a left leg below knee amputee with phantom pain. I also have whiplash neck problems along with shoulder, lower back pain and dizziness. Having gone to many different therapist through the years, I can state that this is the place to get “specialized care”! The help provided to amputees is amazing and different from the other places you go for therapy. They have corrected my dizziness, taught me methods to help myself and stopped most of my phantom pain. I look forward to their continued help in giving me back a more stable active life. Dr. Sean Simonds, Bob Conrad (my therapist) and all the staff have been a blessing to me.
I began working with Liz Koch in August, 2017 for a Morton's neuroma in my right foot and a lot of discomfort. Liz did several detailed analyses initially and at intervals and had the knowledge and professionalism and sense of humor to motivate me to follow her directions. I met my goal to minimize/eliminate pain and reduce swelling the first part of November. The three therapists with SPT in Asheville, NC are the people to work with should you have a need. And, Sherry, their receptionists is a great ambassador that will make you feel like a very special person. I would return in a heartbeat should a need arise. I have already referred them to three people that I know. Thank you, Liz, for all of your knowledge and encouragement.
