She refused to touch my "non- Caucasian" hair, after boasting about her 25 years of experience! I have fine, curly, Caucasian hair. I suppose we all limits on our skill/trade, well, most people don't, but Leah sure does!
I bought a Groupon and when I arrived Leah upcharged $30 me for my long hair. I have really fine long hair, and she did this before asking me what I wanted done to it, and it felt a lot like a bait and switch. She was very nice during the appointment and gave me tips about blow drying, in which she is very skilled, because I got home and realized that my bangs were completely uneven and I'm still cutting out stray hairs that didn't get cut. Overall, I don't like the haircut, and feel really duped about paying extra.
I have straight, shoulder-length (at the time) hair, and Leah tried to charge me an EXTRA $60 (on top of $90!!) for 'length and texture' (my texture is just normal-for-a-caucasian). She ended up coming back down, but the experience was bizarre and humiliating.
Leah is the best and most kind hairdresser I've ever encountered! She constantly gives me the best service for all of my hair wants and needs! She is so experienced and knows what she's doing! Skills to spare! If you want a great time and great hair, Leah's hair design is the place to go! Thank you so much for you're warmth, kindness and professional excellent service!
