I am very careful to never leave bad or disparaging reviews as a business owner I think twice about it before I do. But, my hope this time is to alert other customers so that they aren't surprised as I was. I came in for a blow dry, I wanted volume and round brush curls. The stylist couldn't accomplished the task, the look was still not what I wanted because there was no volume and the curls were inexistent so I nicely asked her to use the curling iron so that I could get what I wanted. I didn't even mention the volume because it was too late the hair was already dry. The stylist didn't say a word and simply complied. I was still not so happy with the curls but they didn't look bad so I didn't say anything and we wrapped up the appt. at the cash register as I am getting ready to pay I am surprised by the fact that they charged me $10 for use of the curling iron? Really??? It's not the money y'all. But the curling iron itself probably costs $50 and they charge $10 for every time they use it? Even putting that aside, not having that listed and not letting people know ahead it's not right. More so, when customers end up asking for it because they stylist can't deliver. Really not a good experience. I hope they rethink their approach to this. But if they don't at least you have been warned.
I really wanted to love my experience here but it fell short of my expectations. I have heard that Jared is awesome with wavy/curly hair, but instead I went with the first available stylist that is Deva trained. I didn’t feel the stylist really listened to me explain the situation that was my hair before I got it cut (slept on it wet, really long time since a cut, etc) and I ended up with the dreaded triangle hair! The shape of the cut generally was not what I asked for, in addition to the texture issue. I am wearing it up until I can get it corrected. I recognize that part of this is my fault because I trusted that the stylist knew better than I did what would work for my texture.
This place is a beautiful salon with amazing service given all around. Allison Yingst was my hair styest for the first time ever and she did an amazing job, leaving me with the beautiful fall/winter look that I had desired when coming in. I would totally recommend this salon for your next pampering.
Allison has been doing my hair for about 2 years. Always very professional and always loooks great!
I went in Cheveux not knowing exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, but I knew I wanted something a little different. Caitlin listened to what I wanted and what I didn't want. She made some suggestions as to what she thought would look good and I went with it. She had vision, I trusted her and I'm so glad that I did! Love my new color. Thanks Caitlin! I will be re-booking soon. Great experience! Great atmosphere, too.
Btw my stylist was Caitlin very sweet but not really good at styling with volume and round brush curls.
