It was my first time seeing Dr. Pang. I felt he was thorough, professional yet kind and took time to listen and explain my options. As always staff was smiling, friendly and accommodating. Jen is so good at her job … she did a great job cleaning my teeth, explaining my procedures and gave me some great tips for healthy teeth and gums. Thank you for a pleasant experience ;) Pam.

I called to make an appointment to have it looked at, and the receptionist seemed to take the defense as if I were making the claim that they gave me the infection. I explained that I wasn't, but I did not have an infection before the procedure as confirmed by the hygienist who I talked to two days before. Her name was Caroline and she was difficult. I asked if I was going to get charged to get looked at, as I was previously under the impression that I wouldn't. She said that it would cost at least eighty dollars, plus more if x rays were needed. I asked to talk to the hygienist that worked on me when she had the chance, and was told that could not happen. It was at that point I just decided to never go back and find another dentist.

Very pleasant, comfortable experience. Dr. Pang is a wonderful dentist and Jen did a super gentle cleaning. I love the feeling of squeaky clean & strong teeth. Here at Asheville Holistic Dentist, they work with you. They will outline your options, draw up a plan, help you get financing (if you need it). The high-tech equipment (such as Lasers, Cerec, Pinhole Grafting Surgery) provides dental treatment options that are minimally invasive - not typical of general dentistry. At Asheville Holistic Dentist, the focus is to use biocompatible dental materials and offer alternatives to prescriptions & antibiotics..

Asheville Holistic Dentist, I have to say has the most courteous staff that most businesses dream about. I cannot say enough about my many visits there. Dr. Peter Pang, the new and working owner, in my opinion truly cares about your teeth and how you feel about how they look. He truly does care…as do his staff!! I’m sure that you will love it at Asheville Holistic Dentist. Sincerely, Eddie Sasser

The only other thing I would say is that the sticker price for his services is high. I wouldn't have minded even that if he didn't seem so arrogant and rude. I later looked at Peter Pang's yelp reviews, which are far lower than the google reviews. The people that had good experiences called the people that had bad experiences "haters." I would say I believe the negative reviews, and also believe others have had good experiences. I didn't.

Caroline is the rude receptionist there who wrote the obvious fake review below. Treat people well and you won't have to be dishonest. It is not my style to write bad reviews, but this is a case that I believe where it is deserved. The dentist I had at home wasn't holistic, but he was good, and they were all so friendly that I just never questioned the materials because I always left feeling good.

There is one receptionist that is really nice, and was very helpful my first visit. The examination seems thorough, and Peter answered my questions. I booked a visit to have two cavities done. I ended up waiting almost an hour, which is understandable at times. The television screen played only advertisements for their services, which got to be boring. When I got in they let me know they were short staffed and was running behind. I really didn't mind about that, even though I arrived early. What I did mind is that I asked about six questions during the visit where he ignored me. To be fair he took pictures of a crown I had done in another state to send to that dentist in case he had to correct it. I asked about that tooth, and he said they were short staffed and walked out of the room. I had a couple other questions concerning things I would have them do, and the cavities I was going to get filled and got the silent treatment. While I was getting the second cavity filled which was on the gum line it hurt. I asked if it hurt because it was so close to the root. No answer from him or the assistant. He may have been tired, but had I asked if he wanted to be payed for the services, I am sure he would have found the energy to answer. I left feeling depressed. I have never had any kind of service where I was flat out ignored. The process of drilling hurt the entire time. It takes a while for me to get numb, and it was close to the time for them to leave. I cannot claim if I would have been able to get numb enough being where the cavity was, and Peter just wouldn't answer. He also seemed to be rushing to go home, but again, I was early and payed good money.

After a few days I noticed I had a swollen lymph node on the side of my jaw where I had the cavity filled. I called to let them know and got the nice receptionist. I told her about what happened, and she seemed sincere and understanding. I told her I had to let them know before I jumped the gun and wrote a review right away. She told me if the swelling persisted to come in and get it checked out. I was on the fence about returning, but after about two or three weeks when I noticed a sign of infection I talked to someone that I thought who was the hygienist that worked on me, and she said to come in and get it checked out. I really didn't have a problem with the hygienist other than her also ignoring my question of why I was in pain during the procedure.

Love the fact that they are a Holistic Dental office. I really appreciate that they do all the work to ensure that I am receiving biocompatible materials for my body. After all the crown that I got today is going to be in my body for a long time. So Yes - I appreciate that they take great care about the materials that are being used. I also learned today about how they take care of the environment - from filters to protect the environment from dental wastewater to bamboo toothbrushes & organic toothpaste. Seriously - check these guys out - they are great. Today I needed a crown and I got to see it all created in one appointment on a Cad-Cam system. It was amazing. But it is really the people at this office that make it so wonderful. I feel truly blessed to be in such good hands.
