Charming, quaint and historic area with some unique shops and restaurants. Located just across from the entrance to the Biltmore House. This village was built by George Vanderbilt in the late 19th century as location for the "base camp" of the construction of the Biltmore House and as a welcoming village to visitors. The charming English style architecture is a must see. Highly recommended.
Lots of shops and a really neat Christmas shop as well. A craft shop that was filled with very unusual high quality items. They had a skilled wood worker making inlaid designs for different shaped hand made wooden keepsake boxes. Handmade bees wax candles. Live harp music by a very skilled musician. And so much more.
I had a great time. I only wish I could spend several days, as there's so much more to see and do. My friend and I spent two nights in the Village Hotel, and it was wonderful. This place is amazing! The Biltmore House alone is fantastic, especially all decked out for Christmas. I want to go back so I can tour the gardens and some more of the surrounding grounds, see the House again, and revisit the winery and the other shops at the stables. But one must be prepared with plenty of time and physical stamina to tour the entirety of the estate.
Beautiful and fun place to go on the Biltmore Estate! Love the free wine tasting and free petting zoo. The shops have beautiful finds, a d the restaurants have tasty food. You can't be disappointed here!
Had a good time here. I am under aged but the snacks that you can try are nice and tasty. And the farm animals were cool also the underground wall under the winery is pretty cool.
