Breath taking experience to say the least. Drove 16 hrs. one way to see this and was not disappointed. There is just so much to see and do. A must to buy the CD on the house and relive your visit for years to come. Tour guides are the very best. Enjoyed the house, the grounds and the flower gardens. This place has really became a big tourist trap. Liked it so much better the way it was 15 yrs. ago. You are going to ruin it if you aren't careful.

Amazing! Beautiful every season but Christmas may be my favorite. There is a tree or trees in every room. Take your time, get the audio to hear the wonderful stories of the house. Wear comfortable shoes. There is a lot of walking but you will not be disappointed.

I purchased tickets ahead of time and had them saved on my phone. Note: they don’t honor paperless tickets. They make you wait in line even though you have tickets. Some people are on vacation and don’t have access to a printer. You need to work on your ticketing process and not make people waste paper printing their tickets. Every other venue has paperless ticketing! Get out of the dark ages! Further note: all the people working here are very nice and try to be helpful. No reflection on them.

10 year season pass holder, and for good reasons. Gorgeous views. Great art. Lovely hikes. Love the place. Big crowds come with the draw. Come for the day stay with the memories. That's why we come time and again with passes all we want.

Breathtaking during the Christmas season. All the decorated Christmas trees and the poinsettias. I was told take a behind the scenes tour and I would also recommend this. Small group led by a guide. Very informative. I chose the servant tour but I bet they are all excellent.
