We use terms like "built to code" to set a standard in which our communities are constructed. As contractors it is what we live by, for without , there would be no gauge of what is acceptable. Of Course we help our clients and go "above and beyond" when we can. Had this home been custom built for you and your needs, we would have made the requested accommodations.
Goforth Builders is all about the bottom line...not about homeowner quality of life. They do not take responsibility for problems after they build your house. For example, noise spilling into the other unit where a common wall is shared probably because there is no insulation. I feel like I am back in New York City in an apartment where you could hear every sound. In our new house we can hear footsteps on hardwood floors, activities in the bathroom, voices, even the downstairs ceiling fan’s motor can be in the upstairs bedroom. It’s bad enough if you just have trouble sleeping but if you are disabled and extremely sensitive to noise, good luck. If you complain all you’ll get is “Nobody ever complained about this before,” and “You can hire an engineer to look at it,” or “I’m not doing anything.” Even if you purchase something in a retail store, you can pretty much depend on customer service and the old adage, “The customer is always right.” Oh, but I forgot. Once you purchase the house, that adage no longer applies…it’s out of warranty. The year it was built keeps changing……go figure.
Bruce builds a "pretty" home. BUT, that is all that it is. He doesn't take time in the details. His only concern is that it is "built to code" and that I have had no complaints from anyone else. It's all about MONEY to him and not about anyone's quality of life. DO NOT EVER BUY A HOUSE THAT IS ATTACHED FROM BRUCE. He doesn't care about NOISE! If you have any kind of disability and nerve issues NOISE WILL DRIVE YOU MAD! BRUCE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOUR QUALITY OF LIFE! It's not about the handicap person who hears the person next door walking through the house, tapping the toothbrush on the sink, slamming the cabinets in the bathroom, or God forbid....worse someday having sex! Can't wait until they hear me! That's real quality of life! Thank you Bruce Goforth.
I would like to clarify because I feel there is great deal of misinformation. The residence you refer to was not built for your specific needs. It was built for a previous owner who sold it to you well after we could hold any claim to the property.
These reviews have just been brought to my attention, since I spend most of my time in the field and do not use a computer often.
We never had any issues brought to us during his entire occupancy of the residence. We work very hard at Goforth Builders to provide quality. We take pride in that hard work.
